Three alumni to share advice about careers in media

This weekend brings another event in the "Sundays with Alumni" series, in which former students return to Connecticut College to share their professional experiences and advice about their chosen fields.

On Sunday, Dec., 4, three alumni will discuss their careers in the fast-paced worlds of entertainment and social media. They are:

- Richard Kappler '04, program planning manager at VH1 in New York (film studies major)

- Lauren Matison '06, co-founder and editor of offManhattan.com and writer/blogger for Grist.org, Cosmopolitan Magazine and The Huffington Post (English major)

- Kathryn Whitney '07, YouTube specialist for online media sales at Google, Inc. in Boston (religious studies major)

This "Sundays with Alumni" panel will convene on at 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 in Cro's Nest, located in the College Center at Crozier-Williams. The event - co-sponsored by the Office of Advancement and the SGA Advancement Committee - will be moderated by Jazmine Hughes '12, editor in chief of The College Voice.
