Martin Posts Third Double-Double with 14 Kills and 14 Digs
NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College volleyball extended its winning streak to five with a 3-1 victory against Eastern Connecticut State University in a non-conference match played at Luce Field House Tuesday night.
The Camels (10-1), ranked #4 in New England, posted 25-19 victories in the first two games before the Warriors (5-9) rebounded with a 25-18 triumph in game three. The hosts cruised to a 25-10 win in the fourth contest.
Caroline Martin (Palo Alto, Calif.) registered her third double-double of the season for the Camels with 14 kills and 14 digs. Martin has amassed 98 kills and 98 digs in her first month of collegiate play.
Rachel Schroff (Palos Verdes, Calif.) chipped in with 10 kills, nine digs, four assists and three aces for the winning side. Senior setter Katie Ketcham (San Francisco, Calif.) dished out 35 assists while classmate Carly Guiducci (Del Mar, Calif.) anchored the Camel defense with 22 digs Tuesday night.
