Seeking Posse Mentors for New York & Chicago

The Posse Foundation identifies diverse public-school students who are primarily first-generation, under-represented and academically high-achieving. These students demonstrate extraordinary leadership potential. As natural leaders they make an unforgettable impact on the college campuses that they attend. What is the Role of a Posse Faculty Mentor? The Posse mentor is responsible for helping his/her/their Posse have a successful college career. That connection between mentor and scholar often goes beyond the college career into the professional career. In the first two years while on campus, the mentor does this by meeting with the Posse members individually and as a group. In support of the faculty mentor there is a reduced course load in the first two years. If you wish to nominate yourself or another faculty member, please email Marina J Melendez, Posse Coordinator, & Dean of Juniors & Seniors, Transfers or Erika Smith, Dean of the College & Posse Liaison. A Message from Department of Campus Safety

To Students, Faculty and Staff,

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the Connecticut College Department of Campus Safety has completed the Annual Security and the Annual Fire Safety Reports for Calendar Year 2020. These reports are updated each year and can be found at the links below. The report will be available on the College Website on October 1, 2021.

The Annual Security Report includes College policies regarding campus security, sexual assault, alcohol and drug policies, missing student protocol and evacuation procedures. Crime statistics from the previous three years — which include reports of crimes that occurred on campus, in residence halls or student housing, and in public areas adjacent to the campus — are contained in the report.

The Annual Fire Safety Report contains information on fire alarm systems, fire policies and procedures, and fire statics in residence halls or student housing for the three previous years.

Please contact Director of Campus Safety and Emergency Operations Mary Savage at 860-439-2251 or Ofc. Luis Argarin at 860-439-2222 if you have any questions.

You can access both reports at the link below:
