#1 Amherst College 9, Connecticut College 0 Bender Drops Close Contest at #3 Singles for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn. --Amherst College (6-1) earned a 9-0 victory against Connecticut College (5-2) in NESCAC women´s tennis action played on the South Tennis Courts Sunday afternoon. It was the second straight win for the top ranked Lord Jeffs. The surging Camels had their four game winning streak suspended in the setback. Richman paired up with Jen Ouyang (Pasadena, Calif.) on an 8-1 victory at #1 doubles for the Lord Jeffs. Connecticut College senior Jessica Bender (Westfield, N.J.) kept it close in a 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 loss at #3 singles with some strong backhand returns.
