2021-22 CCSRE Student Internship Positions

The Center for the Critical Study of Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE) is hiring Student Interns for the 2021-22 academic year!  CCSRE Interns are student leaders who have very specific and distinct areas of responsibility and act as ambassadors of the Center.  They work in collaboration with their team members and professional staff in order to advance the mission of the Center for the CCSRE.

Job Descriptions:

Ambassadors of Social Media, Marketing and Communications
  • Designing posters for Campus events.
  • Maintaining and keeping up the social media status of the Office.
  • Posting upcoming events of the Office on the social media outlets.
  • Inviting the campus community to attend the events of the Office using the CCSRE social media accounts.
  • CC other team members when working on posters for campus events so that the whole team can put in their contribution.
  • Complete General Student Staff Tasks
  • Post flyers in key locations on campus to publicize CCSRE events.
  • Attend CCSRE events
  • Submit hours/timesheets on time.
  • Attend staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with the CCSRE Director and Assistant.
  • Read and respond to emails within 48 hours.
  • Other duties as assigned
Ambassadors of Events and Programing
  • Work with Faculty and staff to develop and facilitate a number of programs that enhance the outreach and presence of CCSRE
  • Work with marketing ambassadors to create a social media campaign and event posters
  • Connect with student organizations and academic departments across campus to create programming.
  • Follow the CCSRE Event Planning Checklist.
  • Lead planning teams for big events.
  • Exhibit strong facilitation, leadership, relationship building, and public speaking skills
  • Complete General Student Staff Tasks
  • Post flyers in key locations on campus to publicize CCSRE events.
  • Attend CCSRE events
  • Submit hours/timesheets on time.
  • Attend staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with the CCSRE Director and Assistant.
  • Read and respond to emails within 48 hours.
  • Other duties as assigned
Ambassadors of Students & Facility
  • Assist in the upkeep and management of the CCSRE Office (basic cleaning, maintaining
  • Staff CCSRE during monitor hours, greet visitors, share resources, clean, open/close the office, etc.
  • Respond to student needs/conflicts that arise during your shift, utilizing campus resources and the CCSRE Director as needed.
  • Complete General Student Staff Tasks
  • Post flyers in key locations on campus to publicize CCSRE events.
  • Attend CCSRE events
  • Submit hours/timesheets on time.
  • Attend staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with the CCSRE Director and Assistant.
  • Read and respond to emails within 48 hours.
  • Other duties as assigned
