President Katherine Bergeron will speak about the state of the College at this historic moment.

Palmer Auditorium

Director of Facilities Management Jim Norton will lead guests in a private behind-the-scenes tour to witness the last stages of renovation of the iconic Palmer Auditorium.

The President and the Board will host a catered lunch for guests under a tent on the Library green.

Saving Our Precious Marine Environments

Science Center in New London Hall

George and Carol Milne Assistant Professor of Biology Maria Rosa and Kayla Austin ’22 will present a lab tour featuring research from two major collaborations to understand and improve aquatic ecosystems: In the mangrove forests of the British Virgin Islands and on the Thames River.

The Archaeology of the Discarded

Shain Library Visualization Wall

Associate Professor of Anthropology Anthony Graesch and Makena Lurie ‘23 examine how the things we throw away—and the many ways people are alienated from their possessions—constitute an important domain of cultural study. The discovery and analysis of discarded things offers a unique lens onto the social and material lives of those who have been dispossessed, disenfranchised, and otherwise omitted from historical memory.

Dance in Ghana

Meyers Dance Studio

In a presentation featuring multimedia and live dance, Associate Professor of Dance Shani Collins and her students will share their work from a recent Ghana Arts Intensive-International Study Abroad Course.

3:15 p.m. - 4 p.m.

V. Invitational Plenary

Board of Trustees Plenary Session

The Board invites all guests to join them for a discussion of Conn's strategic accomplishments in the area of sustainability.

VI. An Evening of Entertainment and Promise

Reception

Tent on Shain Green

The President and the Board will welcome all guests back to the tent for a champagne reception in preparation for the evening launch. Featuring music by the New London Big Band.

Dinner: The Public Launch of the Campaign

1962 Room @ Crozier-Williams

This special dinner will feature produce from our Sprout Garden along with major campaign announcements, remarks from President Bergeron, a cappella singing, and a memorable multimedia presentation.
