The Hale Center's Career Action Program provides you access to funds you can use to engage in career-focused internships and other opportunities to enhance your competitive edge over four years.

Want to attend a professional conference? Shadow an alum in a field of interest? Pursue an internship at a startup? We’ve got you.

The  allows you to explore opportunities as early as your first year. Participation in the Career Preparation Course makes you eligible to submit an Action Plan for funding. We are one of only a handful of colleges in the country that offers all students funding opportunities for internships and career preparation during all four years.

Flexible Career Funding

Broaden your possibilities

The award-winning career program at Connecticut College was one of the first colleges in the country to offer internship funding to every eligible student. Now, this funding is even more flexible and can be used for a variety of career development opportunities at any point during your four-year experience.

Career Accelerator: First-Years and Sophomores

First-year and sophomore students who have completed the Career Preparation Course can apply for up to $1,500 for career-related activities, including workshops, job shadowing, professional conferences, and unpaid internships.

Career Launch: Juniors and Seniors

Juniors who have completed the Career Preparation Course and attended a Junior Workshop are eligible for up to $3,000 for internships, research opportunities, and other approved programs.

Seniors who have completed the Career Action Program requirements but did not use any of their junior year funding can request up to $1,500 for career-related trainings, short-term experiential learning opportunities, conference participation, and more.

Your funding is ready whenever you are. Current students can visit the Hale Center Moodle to learn more.
