Student Health Insurance

It is the policy of Connecticut College that all enrolled students are required to have health insurance either through their family or the Student Health Insurance Plan offered by the college. Students may also seek individual coverage of their own outside the college.

The 2013/2014 Student Sickness and Accident Insurance charge is $1,096. The policy term is effective August 15, 2013 through August 14, 2014. All students (including those who are studying abroad) must waive out of this plan by August 15th if they do not wish to purchase it. If you and your family decide you have adequate coverage you must show evidence in the form of your private insurance card and you must waive out online at www.gallagherkoster.com/conncoll. Students with out-of-state Medicaid or coverage for emergencies only will not be allowed to waive out.

The website you will need in order to waive out of the plan is www.gallagherkoster.com/conncoll. Please note that you must receive an emailed confirmation in order to assure that the waiver process has been completed. If you do not receive an emailed confirmation after completing the waiver, please call Gallagher Koster at 877-373-2405. If you do not go online to waive out, the insurance charge of $1,096 will be on your tuition bill as a separate line item.
