The Affirmative Action Office at Connecticut College provides leadership, goals and other guidance to support College diversity initiatives and to ensure compliance with College policies relating to affirmative action, discrimination and harassment.

At Connecticut College, affirmative action applies to faculty and staff hiring, but not to student admission.

Building and sustaining a diverse learning and work environment is a collaborative enterprise. The Dean of Institutional Equity and Inclusion/Affirmative Action Officer supports and guides the work of faculty and staff search committees and works closely with the Dean and Associate Dean of the Faculty, the Office of Human Resources, the Dean of the College, the Dean of Students and the Dean of Multicultural Affairs/Associate Dean of Institutional Equity and Inclusion.
