Media Services, located on the second floor of Shain Library, provides the Connecticut College community with equipment and technical support for classes and events. Find our hours of operation here. We offer assistance and consultation in the selection, design, and utilization of classroom and event space equipment and systems.
The Office of the Registrar assigns classrooms to classes. Once your classroom is assigned, contact us (email@example.com) to schedule a classroom technology consultation. Find more information about classrooms and a list of classroom AV technology organized by building. In case of an emergency, call 860-439-2698.
If you plan to incorporate videoconferencing in your class, Media Services loans videoconferencing kits (Yeti omnidirectional microphone, Logitech 180 degree webcam, and associated adaptors) and will instruct you in their use. In addition, several classrooms have built-in videoconferencing equipment: Dilley Room in Shain Library, Global Learning Lab in the Walter Commons for Global Study and Engagement, Fanning 101, and Fanning 102. Contact Media Services at least 5 days in advance to schedule a consultation.
The Office of Events and Catering (firstname.lastname@example.org 860-439-5356) schedules locations, catering, and setups for all campus events. All events must be scheduled at least 5 days in advance. For events requiring direct technical support and/or specialized set-ups, requests must be made 7 days in advance. Consult with Media Services early in the planning process. Late requests will be considered only if staff and equipment are available.
Digital still, digital video cameras, VGA and HDMI adaptors, and videoconferencing kits (Yeti omnidirectional microphone, Logitech 180 degree webcam, and associated adaptors) can be borrowed by visiting Media Services.
