Connecticut College's oldest coed a cappella group, The Williams Street Mix, will perform in concert on Friday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m. in Harkness Chapel. The show's theme is "A Wintery Mix," and the group will indeed perform a mix of classics and audience favorites, including "I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5, "The Longest Time" by Billy Joel, "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" by Crosby, Stills and Nash and a medley of songs from Pixar movies. They have a few surprises in store as well. "We chose these pieces because we feel that they represent the playful personality, joy and high energy for which our group is known," said Sammi Shay '13, the group's president. "Mostly, though, we just love to sing them and want to show off what we have been working on this semester. "Most of the songs that we learn, and that we will be performing in our concert, are arranged by members of our group, which makes our performances that much more exciting and personal," she added. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the group's website or follow them on Facebook (WilliamsStreetMix) and Twitter (@williamstweetmx).
