Arboretum to host Mother's Day Plant Sale

The Connecticut College Arboretum will host a Mother's Day Plant Sale on campus on Friday, May 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. On offer will be hanging container gardens, Martha Washington geraniums, hydrangeas and mandevillas. Prices range from $12 to $30 and all proceeds will benefit the Arboretum. Cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard will be accepted. "The plant sale is convenient for the College community and those who live or work nearby, and it's also a chance for them to support the Arboretum, which provides opportunities for teaching, research, conservation, recreation and public education in our community," said Kathy Dame, assistant director of the Arboretum. The Mother's Day Plant Sale will take place on the front patio of the College Center at Crozier-Williams. The sale will move inside in the event of rain.
