Dancers' intriguing title for their fall concert

The Connecticut College Dance Department will present its fall concert, “This is what we do when you are not around,” on Dec. 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Palmer Auditorium.

The dance program features choreography by guest artists Rennie Harris Puremovement, Molly Lieber '05 and Eleanor Smith; faculty members David Dorfman, Heidi Henderson and Shawn Hove; and students Emma Smith, Sarah Hyde and Augie Sherman.

The performance segment with Rennie Harrie Puremovement is part of the dance department’s “Hip Hop Year,” sponsored by the Dayton Artist-in-Residence series. This program enables students to encounter and learn from artists and performers who are not typically accessible in an academic setting, giving them the opportunity to explore a wider variety of artistic approaches and techniques.

Tickets are $12; for students, military and seniors, $6. Tickets are available at the door, or by calling 860-439-ARTS (2787).
