The Connecticut College Department of Art announced the lineup for the 2012 Visual Arts Faculty Exhibition, on display through Oct. 23 in the galleries of Cummings Arts Center. Professor of Art Andrea Wollensak and associate professors of art Ted Hendrickson, Pamela Marks and Denise Pelletier will be joined by new faculty members Nadav Assor and Chris Barnard and visiting artist Sabrina Marques for a show that features an array of mediums, including painting, photography, printmaking, videography, sculpture and mixed media. Works by these professional artists have been recognized at the local, regional and national level. This talented group has also been honored as major contributors to the profession of art education. They are dedicated teachers and active artists who continue to expose Connecticut College art students to a variety of artistic philosophies and professional practices. There will be an artist reception on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 5:30 p.m. The Cummings Arts Center Galleries are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The galleries will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 26, for Yom Kippur and Oct. 12-14 for the College's Fall Break.
