Exhibition showcases work by senior art majors

The Connecticut College Department of Art is pleased to present the 2012 Senior Thesis Art Exhibition, on display May 4-20 in the Cummings Arts Center. The exhibition showcases artworks with a diverse range of concepts and materials, in mediums including sculpture, drawing, design, photography and installation art. Investigations of identity, otherness, intuition, time, memory, beauty and community have inspired a rich, multifaceted show. The senior art majors whose works are on display include Nhung Le, Samuel Mauck, Catherine Monahon, Lauren Pappas, Emily Pfannenstiel, Elizabeth Rosenfeld, Carina Schnieders, Alicia Toldi, Megan Turner and Rose Wail. The student artists will be on hand to discuss their work at the opening reception on Friday, May 4, at 5 p.m. in the Cummings Arts Center galleries. The exhibition is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
