Fall Star Gazing at Connecticut College

Fall is the perfect time to check out the moon, Jupiter, the Andromeda galaxy and more at Connecticut College. The College is hosting its annual Fall Star Gazing event on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 7-9:30 p.m. in the Olin Observatory. In addition to weather-permitting star gazing, the event will feature planetarium shows on the fall and winter constellations and hands-on astronomy activities for adults and children. This event is free and open to the public and is hosted by Connecticut College's Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geophysics; the Thames Amateur Astronomical Society; the Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut; and the Treworgy Planetarium at Mystic Seaport. Free parking is available on the campus. For more information, contact Leslie Brown, associate professor of physics and astronomy, at (860) 439-2345.
