International film spring series
Those who live nearby, or on, the Connecticut College campus can enjoy an opportunity to “travel afar” by attending an international film series this spring that features documentaries and films in Japanese, Chinese and Hebrew.
All the screenings are open to the public, free of charge, and shown with English subtitles. They all begin at 4:30 p.m. and are held in the F. W. Olin Science Center, Room 014.
The first film, to be shown on Thursday, March 3, is "City of Borders," a documentary about Jerusalem's only gay bar.
On March 31, the film, yet to be selected, will be in Japanese; on April 21, the Chinese film "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry" will be featured. The final film on May 5 has yet to be announced.

The series is organized by the Connecticut College Language Fellows, advanced-level language students and international students who design and run language and culture-oriented events. It is funded by the Mellon Initiative on Global Education, which supports the College’s mission to provide an international, globalized liberal arts education.
