Cummings Electronic Music Studio
Located on the first floor of the Cummings Arts Center, the Cummings Electronic Music Studio is accessible to all students enrolled in composition and/or electronic music classes. Students enrolled in the Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology (CAT) are also welcome to use our facilities for relevant coursework. The Studio is a modern, production-quality teaching, listening, recording, and mixing space, and serves as the classroom and workspace for electronic music and composition students. It is acoustically treated and has a calibrated 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound system consisting of Genelec speakers. There are 7 modern Mac workstations that are connected to the College network and fitted with numerous software packages, including Ableton Live, Reaper, and Max. The Studio is wired to the adjacent Elizabeth Gilbert Fortune Recording Studio.
Elizabeth Gilbert Fortune Recording Studio
The Elizabeth Gilbert Fortune Recording Studio, also on the first floor of Cummings Arts Center, is dedicated to the documentation of student work. It is equipped with an isolation booth for recording, as well as high quality microphones, monitors, mixing board, and software for mixing and recording.
