FEATURED EVENT:

2026 Summer Concert Series
Father's Day & Make Music Day Concert

A special Father's Day & Make Music Day concert featuring the father/daughter singer/songwriter duo of Roy Dunn MacLean and Sarah Mac along with special guest artists Brandt Taylor (guitar) and Corina Malbaurn (upright bass).

Roy Dunn MacLean is a performing singer-songwriter living in Southeastern Connecticut, originally from SomervilleMassachusetts. His love of music began at an early age with his father’s Saturday night jamborees. He began playing professionally at age 15, playing everything from Hendrix to Haggard. When asked who his biggest influences are he replies that “Guy Clark made me want to write songs and Merle Haggard made me want to sing them.” Whether it’s playing solo or duo in an intimate setting or with his full band you will surely be entertained.

Hailing from the east coast and married to a deep love of storytelling, Sarah Mac weaves songs of love, loss and the human spirit that feel timeless and deeply personal. With a voice that blends natural strength and vulnerability, she paints vivid portraits of life’s highs and lows - drawing inspiration from an experience that seems equally familiar with deep sorrow and powerful joy. Whether performing on renowned stages or in the warmth of a living room, her lyrics capture the essence of everyday life—it's quiet moments, its struggles, and its beauty. Known for her authenticity and heartfelt connection to her audience, she is carving out her place as an important voice in the New England singer-songwriter landscape.

SHAKESPEARE in the ARBORETUM

Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare

Directed by Victor Chiburis, Flock’s Assoc. Artistic Director

“Nothing that is so, is so” in this beloved comedy. A shipwreck separates and strands a pair of identical twins on foreign shores and a classic plot of disguise, swapped gender, mistaken identity, unrequited love, pranks, and excess ensues. Love, grief, foolery, and roles reversed are the name of the game in this “whirligig” of a good time.

Performance Dates at the Connecticut College Arboretum: July 9-12, July 16, July 17

Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeeare

Directed by Derron Wood, Flock’s Executive Artistic Director

“Violent delights have violent ends” in this fiery tragedy of young love, oft-misunderstood as “the greatest love story ever told.” Flock’s production gallops at a break-neck pace to shatter any misconceptions that this play is nothing but a visceral, frenzied, funny-until-it’s-not whirlwind of a show.

Performance Dates at the Connecticut College Arboretum: July 23-26, July 30-Aug 2

All shows 7pm

Sponsored by the Frank Loomis Palmer Foundation

Admission: $25 adult, $20 student/senior/active military

Family rate: $100 for families of 4 or more
