Maurice Tiner
Director of Race and Ethnicity Programs
Maurice oversees the daily operations of Unity House, trains and supervises professional and student staff, collaborates with students and colleagues to offer campus programs and events, and provides direct support and advocacy to students from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Maurice Tiner is a Connecticut College Posse Alum from Chicago, IL. He graduated from Connecticut College in 2017 with his Bachelors of Arts in Africana Studies. His service to the Connecticut College community earned him the Anna Lord Strauss medal, which is the highest service award given to a graduating senior. He went on to serve a three-year term on the Board of Trustees as the Young Alumni Trustee. In 2019, Maurice Tiner graduated from Yale Divinity School with a Masters of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Black Religion and the African Diaspora.
