Director of Race and Ethnicity Programs

In this role, Truth oversees the daily operations of Unity House, trains and supervises professional and student staff, collaborates with students and colleagues to offer campus programs and events, and provides direct support and advocacy to students from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Truth graduated cum laude from Mount Holyoke College with a bachelor of arts degree in critical social thought and earned a master of arts degree in higher education and student affairs from the University of Connecticut.

Graciela Guzman

Graduate Student Assistant, Race and Ethnicity Programs

Graciela will assist the new director, Truth, in providing support and advocacy for students as well as developing cultural and educational programming for the broader community. Graciela is a New London native who earned a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies from the University Connecticut and is currently a second year master's student in student development and higher education at Central Connecticut State University.

Dulmarie Irizarry

Assistant to the Director

Dulmarie Irizarry was born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Prior to joining the Unity House team, she earned her associate's degree in secretarial sciences from Emory College and worked at New London's Regional Multicultural Magnet School and Waterford's The Friendship School as a translator, interpreter and secretary. Dulmarie plans to pursue her bachelor's degree in the future.
