Vice President for College Advancement

Allison Gomes serves as Vice President for College Advancement at Connecticut College. She brings nearly twenty years of experience in fundraising, campaign leadership, and strategic advancement.

Prior to joining Connecticut College, Gomes was Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Bennington College, where she led a $100 million comprehensive campaign, secured significant lead gifts, and launched initiatives to expand donor engagement and strengthen the major gift pipeline. Her earlier roles include senior advancement positions at Baystate Health Foundation, Smith College, and The Williston Northampton School. In each, she consistently exceeded fundraising goals, developed high-performing teams, and cultivated lasting partnerships with alumni, boards, and philanthropic leaders.

Gomes earned her bachelor’s degree from New York University and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. A recognized voice in her field, she has presented at national conferences for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and has been published in the Journal of Education Advancement & Marketing.
