Fall Weekend 2012

There is no better place to be during the long Columbus Day weekend than Connecticut College. The days are sunny and beautiful, and the leaves on the trees in the arboretum are breathtaking. So be sure to join alumni, parents, faculty, students and friends this October 5-7 for a weekend-long celebration of Connecticut College.
 
Come watch an exciting soccer game or sit in on a class taught by our amazing faculty and interesting alumni.Take a tour of the Science Center at New London Hall and Centennial Plaza and enter for your chance to win an iPad complete with apps from the botany, computer science and biology departments!  Bring a chair and blanket and stay for a late night showing of Pixar’s movie “Up” Saturday night under the tent on Tempel Green. 

  • “You will be shaped, changed and enriched.” – President Higdon’s message to new students at the start of the academic year. Hear more insights and reflections from President Higdon on the state of the College, Saturday morning at 11:15 a.m. in Evans Hall.
     
  • “Presidential Transitions: "Opportunities and Hazards” with author and professor of political science at Towson University, Martha Joynt Kumar ’63, whose work includes advising presidential transitions at the White House.
     
  • Hear from Bill Rose, professor of government and international relations “On Becoming an Educator at Connecticut College: Inspiration Plus Perspiration Equals Transformation." 
     
  • New! Our first ever all-campus brunch on Tempel Green Sunday morning. A great way to end your visit.
