Connecticut College remembers Charles Chu with a special exhibition of privately owned works
In honor of the late Charles Chi-Jung Chu, master painter, calligrapher, scholar and emeritus professor of Chinese at Connecticut College, the Department of Art History and Architectural Studies and the Charles E. Shain Library will co-sponsor a special exhibition of his paintings from the private collections of college faculty, staff and alumni.
The exhibit, which will be on display in the Charles Chu Asian Art Reading Room in the Shain Library, will open with a Feb. 8 ceremony at 4:30 p.m. and remain on display through April 20.
A coordinating exhibition, "Remembering Charles Chu," will be on display at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum from Feb. 8 through April 12.
