Panelists to discuss "The Challenges of Change" Jan. 23 at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Connecticut College will host a panel discussion, "The Challenge of Change - The Obama Presidency," Jan. 23 at 11:45 a.m. in the Blaustein Humanities Center, room 210. The panel will discuss the policy changes likely to be proposed by the Obama administration, as well as the challenges the administration will face and the local, national and international implications of major changes.

Panelists include David Canton, professor of history at Connecticut College; the Rev. Wade Hyslop Jr., Mayor of New London; Jay Levin, attorney, lobbyist and 1969 graduate of Connecticut College; and Ahmed Kanna, postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Urban and Global Studies at Trinity College. The panel will be moderated by students enrolled in Connecticut College's Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the Holleran Center's "Challenges of Our Times" series of events exploring the most serious issues facing our local, national and global communities.
