Arts and tech collide at CONTACT: The Ammerman Center Symposium
Connecticut College's Theater Department presents Mary Chase's "Harvey" May 4-8. The performance is directed by Connecticut College senior Kristin Kerr. The story follows amiable lush Elwood P. Dowd, whose best friend is Harvey, a giant, invisible rabbit. His relationship with Harvey mortifies Elwood's family members, who try to have him committed to a sanitarium. The resulting tale veers from warmth and pathos to whimsy and farce, as Elwood's family and caretakers vacillate between belief and doubt. Performances are at 8 p.m. on May 4, 5 and 6 and at 2 p.m. on May 8 in Tansill Theater. Tickets are $8 for general admission. To purchase tickets, call the Connecticut College box office at 860-439-2605.
