At Connecticut College, media are not permitted in residence halls, classrooms, laboratories, dining halls, academic and administrative buildings and other facilities and areas where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy or potential safety issue unless a request is approved ahead of time by the Office of Marketing and Communications.  If such a request is approved, media will be accompanied by a representative from the Office of Marketing and Communications; students, faculty and staff will be made aware of the media’s presence ahead of time; and students must give their permission to be photographed. Exceptions may be made with approval from the Office of Marketing and Communications.

There is more flexibility for media elsewhere on campus, which is private property but open to the media and public for public events, athletic events and certain other programs. Questions about this policy may be directed to Christina Flowers, Director of Media Relations, at cflowers@conncoll.edu.
