Lead the way

At Connecticut College, shared governance isn’t just a concept—it’s a defining part of campus life. Students play an active role in decision-making, working alongside faculty, staff, and administrators on major committees and boards that shape strategic priorities and guide budget decisions.

Leadership is part of the everyday experience. Student-run clubs, housefellows, floor governors, and house councils help shape nearly every aspect of residential and campus life, giving you real responsibility and a meaningful voice.

Here, you’ll see how the strongest ideas emerge when diverse perspectives come together—challenging one another, thinking critically, and building something better as a community.

Mission Statement

Student Engagement at Connecticut College strengthens the student experience by fostering a culture of connection, involvement, and leadership. Through dynamic social and learning opportunities, we empower students to build meaningful relationships, engage with the campus community, and develop the skills to lead with confidence.
