The Campus Sustainability Planning Task Force invites you to submit your ideas for a more sustainable Connecticut College. We are looking for aspirational ideas and specific, high impact ideas that the College can implement over the next five to ten years.

The Campus Sustainability Planning Task Force is working to create a Campus Sustainability Plan that aligns with the goals and objectives of the Connecticut College Strategic Plan. The Task Force is charged with laying out a vision for campus sustainability in a written Campus Sustainability Plan. This plan will be created through a review of our current sustainability initiatives and goals, comparison and benchmarking to peer institutions, and by building on the objectives laid out in the Strategic Plan. The Campus Sustainability Plan will lay out both concrete and aspirational goals in the areas of academics, campus and community engagement, climate action, operations, and administration.

The Task Force is co-chaired by Margaret Bounds, Assistant Director of Sustainability and Chad Jones, Faculty Director of Sustainability, and is made up of students, faculty, staff and administrators from a variety of offices and departments across campus. We welcome input from all members of the campus community as we develop this important plan.
