The Thrifty Camel, an on-campus free thrift shop, is a collaboration between the Office of Sustainability (OoS) and Gender and Sexuality Programs (GSP). The Thrifty Camel is stocked with clothing, jackets, winter weather gear, shoes, and interview attire along with toiletries and some school supplies. The OoS and GSP also recently worked together to secure funding from the Student Government Association for gender-affirming sustainable items - chest binders and underwear packers that students can now access for free.
Any student can come “shop” in our space in Larrabee 010 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9pm. A rack of clothing is also available anytime in the FREE Center in Smith/Burdick.
Donate to The Thrifty Camel by dropping items off during our open hours or through our annual Give ‘N Go program in May.
