Since the inception of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program in 2009, there have been twelve cohorts.
The 2019-2020 Academic Year marks the 12th year of the MMUF program at Conn. In the past 11 years, the program has had 56 scholars. Of those scholars, 16 have obtained a master’s degree and 11 are in the process of obtaining a Ph.D.
Spring 2019, the MMUF Program has had its first PHD! Andrea Mendoza, Class of 2013, completed her Ph.D. in Asian Literature, Religion and Culture from Cornell University Graduate School. She has obtained a faculty position, tenure track, at the University of California, San Diego, in the Department of Literature as Assistant Professor of Inter-Asian and Transpacific Studies.
