|Student Activity Fee||$ 385|
|Room & Board||$17,280|
The tuition rate for special students enrolled in 8 or fewer credits is:
$5,000 per 4-credit Undergraduate course for non-degree students
$7,800 per 4-credit course for Connecticut College undergraduate degree students who petition for part-time status
Most courses at Connecticut College are 4 credits. For courses that carry a different credit value, the tuition will be pro-rated accordingly.
The auditing fee is $445 per course. Auditing requires permission of the instructor and is unlikely to be allowed in certain courses where the student must actively participate in the instruction (e.g., laboratory courses; studio courses in art, dance, music, or theater; foreign language conversation courses; writing courses; and most seminar courses).
Fees are payable the second week of August for the fall semester and the second week in January for the spring semester. Any special arrangements must be documented in writing between the bursar and the student at least one week before the payment is due.
The College uses an online billing system called CCPay. Bills are issued electronically. When a statement is available for payment, students receive an email at their Connecticut College email address or a text message to their cell phone. Students can also add authorized payers – such as parents – to view their accounts, make payments and enroll in a payment plan. Only students can grant access to their accounts. The College cannot add parents or other users to CCPay due to the U.S. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Parents should speak to their student if they would like access to his or her account. Statements are usually emailed 30 days before payments are due. Access CCPay, the College's online billing system.
Student bills will also reflect any miscellaneous charges. In the Campus Life/Residential Living section, learn how to avoid charges for damaged rooms.
For more details about tuition, payments and financial aid, see the Financial Aid Services section.
The College makes available a tuition refund plan offered through Grad Guard. The Tuition Refund Plan provides means for protecting parents from the financial consequences of withdrawals and dismissals due to injury or illness. The College also offers a convenient tuition payment plan.
