Megan Monahan

Assistant Vice President for Retention and Success & Associate Dean of Civil Rights

Megan D. Monahan (she/her) serves as the AVP for Retention and Success & Associate Dean for Civil Rights at Connecticut College where she leads institutional policy and provides expert consultation to prevent inequity across the campus community. With over a decade of experience in civil rights compliance, she holds the roles of the College’s Title IX, VI, and ADA/504 Coordinators. Her work sits at the intersection of legal compliance and student, faculty, and staff success, where she supervises Campus Belonging Initiatives, Community Advocacy and Sexual Health, and Religious and Spiritual Life to ensure every member of the college community can thrive.

Prior to joining Connecticut College in 2023, Dean Monahan held the role of Senior Director of Equity at Fairfield University. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in English literature from Bryn Mawr College and a juris doctor degree from the Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Christopher Campbell

Director of Campus Belonging Initiatives

Christopher Campbell (he/him) is a New London local with deep ties to the surrounding community. After graduating from Ella T. Grasso Technical High School in Groton, CT he attended the University of Connecticut where he earned degrees in Special Education, English Literature and an M.A. in Educational Psychology. From there he served as a Special Education teacher and Instructional Coach for New London Public Schools, where he helped develop student support programming as well as teacher onboarding and training materials related to classroom management, crisis intervention and de-escalation, and building cultural competency.

After receiving his 6th Year Degree in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University, Chris began as the Assistant Director of the Program in Community Action at the Holleran Center. In his current role as Director of Campus Belonging Initiatives, Chris’ coordinates the Genesis Mentoring Program for incoming first-year students, and supports student focused programs such as the Unity Speaker Series, Unity Stoling Ceremony, First Gen Graduate Celebration, and various other initiatives focused on helping students to not just find but celebrate their place here on campus.

Rabbi Jessica Goldberg

Director of Zachs Hillel House & College Chaplain

Rabbi Jessica Goldberg (she/her) joined Connecticut College in 2026 as the Director of Zachs Hillel House and College Chaplain. She is a graduate of the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts (rabbinic ordination, MA in Jewish Education, MA in Jewish Studies, certificate in Interreligious Leadership), and Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts (BA in Psychology and Religious Studies). Rabbi Goldberg's chaplaincy training includes a unit of clinical pastoral education at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital, and she is part of a pilot program through McLean Hospital and Northeastern University focusing on Jewish college campus chaplaincy. Prior to joining Connecticut College, Rabbi Goldberg was the Jewish Chaplain and Hillel Director at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, for more than five years. In recent years, she has focused on multifaith chaplaincy and conflict education. She is passionate about building pluralistic community, studying and teaching Jewish text, and reimagining Jewish ritual and tradition through a feminist/queer lens.

Pastor Stephanie Haskins

Chaplain of the College & Associate Dean of Religious and Spiritual Life

The Reverend Stephanie Haskins (she/her) serves the Connecticut College community as the Chaplain of the College and the Associate Dean of Religious and Spiritual Life. She has been an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC) since 2009, serving churches in Massachusetts, Iowa and Connecticut. Her love for interfaith dialogue and connection began in seminary at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, MA (now located at Yale Divinity School).

Pastor Stephanie oversees religious and spiritual life at Conn, which includes diverse communities of practice and tradition. In addition, she is affiliated with Harkness Chapel, officiating at weddings, memorial services and other special events. She is dedicated to the work of building spiritual community within and across traditions, and facilitates Multifaith Conversation Dinners, Soulforce, and Common Ground - all initiatives to bring people together to find meaning and hope.

Civil Rights Case Manager & Assistant Director of Campus Dialogue

Jenny Henneberry Malcomson (she/her) joined Connecticut College in August 2024 and works as Civil Rights Case Manager and Assistant Director of Campus Dialogue. In this dual role, she supports students, staff and faculty in maintaining and creating a vibrant campus culture rooted in nondiscrimination, mutual respect, open dialogue and shared responsibility. With an MA in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice from Queen's University of Belfast, and a BA in Sociology from St. Lawrence University, Jenny is driven by a belief in the power of intentional communication to transform conflict and strengthen community. Her work is informed by previous experiences within non-profits, education, international peacebuilding and the creative arts.

Nicole Powell

Assistant Dean of Community Advocacy & Sexual Health

Nicole Powell (she/her), assistant dean of community advocacy and sexual health, joined Connecticut College in 2023 and leads efforts to create a safer, more supportive campus through education and advocacy. She works with students, staff, and faculty to build programs around consent, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention—always with a focus on inclusion and care. Nicole also serves as the advisor for the Women of Color Collective (WOC+C) and a First Year Seminar (FYS) staff advisor. Before coming to Conn, Nicole worked in both higher education and the nonprofit world, helping communities learn about prevention, empowerment, and equity. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor’s degree from Spelman College. Nicole is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. When she’s not on campus, you can probably find Nicole exploring new coffee shops, curating the perfect playlist, or planning her next traveling adventure. She’s passionate about helping others find their voice and fostering spaces where everyone feels like they belong.

Assistant Director of Community Advocacy & Sexual Health

Andrew Shepard (they/them) joined Connecticut College in 2026 as the Assistant Director of Community Advocacy & Sexual Health, helping to support students through advocacy, prevention, and program development to help foster a welcoming and inclusive community at Conn. Originally from southern Maine, Andrew earned a B.A in Public Health, with a concentration in Reproductive Justice at Hampshire College in 2020 and returned to their home state to work in violence prevention & response in both non-profit organisations and higher education. Outside of campus, Andrew is the Associate Producer for Todd Productions, a national production company specializing in LGBTQIA+ focused events and performances. They have a passion for community engagement and empowering students to be their authentic selves as they build connections on campus.
