Conn celebrated its 112th Convocation, which marks the official opening of the academic year, on Aug. 31. Read more.

Student Government Association President Vincent Tan ’27 signs the Shared Governance Covenant alongside President Andrea E. Chapdelaine, Chair of the Faculty Steering and Conference Committee Professor Suzuko Knott, and Staff Council Chair Merrill Collins during the Convocation ceremony. Students search for bargains at the Office of Sustainability’s annual Give ’n Go Yard Sale on Aug. 28. Through Give ’N Go, a partnership between the College and the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and Safe Futures, students donate items as they move out of their rooms at the end of the academic year in May. Many items are donated to local community organizations, but items particularly useful to first-year students are stored for a low-price yard sale during Welcome Weekend.
