Tuition and Fees

Information for students and families about the comprehensive fee, additional course-related costs, student health insurance, billing, payment deadlines, and bursar contact information.

Comprehensive Fee

The comprehensive fee for 2026-2027 academic year is $92,800 for full-time undergraduate students. It supports all aspects of a Connecticut College education, from academic programs to housing and dining services, athletics, financial aid, internships and study away opportunities.

The comprehensive fee supports the core undergraduate experience, including instruction, residential life, dining, student activities, and campus services.

The comprehensive fee does not include all student expenses. Additional costs may include books and supplies, transportation, personal expenses, optional programs, and other incidental charges.

Special Fees and Course-Related Costs

Certain courses, programs, or instructional activities may require additional fees. These may include fees for specialized instruction, applied lessons, laboratory or studio courses, materials, equipment, field experiences, travel, or other course-related costs.

Departments that may assess a special fee or fee for other course-related costs include, but are not limited to:

  • Music
  • Dance
  • Athletics
  • Theater
  • Art Studio

Fees vary by course, program, or department and will be charged to the student account when applicable.

Student Health Insurance

All students are required to maintain adequate health insurance coverage while enrolled. Students may meet this requirement through a personal or family plan or through the College-sponsored student health insurance plan.

Students with comparable coverage must complete the required waiver process by the published deadline to avoid enrollment in the College-sponsored plan and the related charge.

Other Tuition Rates and Fees

The tuition rate for Return to College, Continuing Education (non-degree) and Special Day (non-degree enrolled in 8 or fewer credits) students is $5,813 per 4-credit course

The tuition rate for Connecticut College undergraduate degree students who petition for part-time status is $9,064 per 4-credit course

Most courses at Connecticut College are 4 credits. For courses that carry a different credit value, the tuition will be pro-rated accordingly.

The auditing fee is $519 per course. Auditing requires permission of the instructor and is unlikely to be allowed in certain courses where the student must actively participate in the instruction (e.g., laboratory courses; studio courses in art, dance, music, or theater; foreign language conversation courses; writing courses; and most seminar courses).

Payments

Payment for the comprehensive fee is due in full by the dates shown below and prior to the start of each semester, unless an authorized monthly payment plan has been established by the applicable due date

  • Fall term balance due: August 10, 2026
  • Spring term balance due: January 11, 2027
  • Comprehensive fee per semester: $46,400

The College uses an online billing portal called CCPay. Bills are issued electronically. When a statement is available for payment, students receive an email at their Connecticut College email address or a text message to their cell phone.  Connecticut College does not allow credit or debit card payments for the comprehensive fee but they can be used for all other assessed charges on the account.

A $125 monthly late payment fee may be assessed if payment is not received by the posted due dates. For more information and to review further actions by the College on past due accounts, visit Delinquent Accounts.

Students can also add authorized payers, such as parents, to view their accounts, make payments on their behalf, enroll in a payment plan and discuss the student account with the Bursar’s Office. Only students can grant access to their accounts. College cannot add parents or other users to CCPay due to the U.S. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Adding an authorized payer does not transfer responsibility of payment from the student. The student remains solely responsible for paying all charges on their student account by the required due dates.

Statements are usually emailed 30 days before payments are due.

Tuition Insurance

The College makes available a tuition insurance plan offered through GradGuard. The Tuition Insurance Plan provides a means of protection from the financial consequences of withdrawals and dismissals due to injury or illness or loss of income.
