Project/Mission Statement
Sound, as an exchange between music and individuals, is at tension with the expanding digital world that challenges a physical sense of community. My SIP will explore this tension through the creation of an immersive sound installation/instrument that will rely on collaboration, fostering a sense of community while capturing the effects of a shared sound experience using analogue and digital elements. What effect does collaboration have on the individual experience? How can we utilize our individual experiences to find connection?
