New Arabic summer program immerses students in language study and Jordanian culture
The classics department sponsors and cosponsors lectures from visiting scholars every year. The students have an opportunity both to attend the lectures and to discuss the topic informally with the visitors. Many events are organized with the help of the classics department's Latin fellow.
The Department of Classics is pleased to announce the publication of "Modern Arabic Poetry: Revolution and Conflict," by Waed Athamneh, Assistant Professor of Arabic. Professor Athamneh's book is now available through the University of Notre Dame Press and other venues.
