The Creation of a Brotherhood in Early British America
By: Elena Rosario '14
Advising Faculty: Lisa Wilson
When taking the History of North America course with Professor Lisa Wilson, Rosario discovered a passion for colonial history and explored new themes and ideas that she had never before been exposed to. She developed an honors thesis and research based on this course, beginning with Puerto Rican history and later changed her concentration to colonial history with a focus on the Atlantic world. The summer before her senior year she was awarded a ConnSSHARP (Connecticut College Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts Research Program) grant, allowing her to continue research in the Barbados archives department with Professor Wilson.
